We need all alumni to be present at the December 20, 2018 OPSB meeting at 5:30pm at the Central Administration Building (address). Dr. Henderson Lewis may make a recommendation regarding the management of McDonogh 35 High School. While we will continue to advocate for OPSB to directly run McDonogh 35, he may go against the wishes of the stakeholders.

Wear your McDonogh 35 gear. Sign up to speak about this issue, although his recommendations are not action items, and you can only speak to action items. Until the agenda is posted, we won’t know which action items will be relevant to our situation.

Please call your individual board member and let them know that it is their constitutional duty to directly run schools. Pawning all schools off to charter management organizations is unacceptable. Our school district does not have to be an all-charter district. Stakeholders are willing to work with OPSB to create a collaborative model of management.
